We're having "wetting your pants" issues in our house. Aubree has been potty trained since January, but the last couple of weeks has been peeing her pants atleast once a day. I'm so frustrated. I'm not sure how or if I should discipline her when this happens, but it's not getting any better. Also, Maleah has recently started wetting the bed after years of sleeping in underwear. It's been happening several times a week. GRRRRRRRRRRRR............I'm so sick of changing sheets and doing laundry. What am I to do??????? Any advice????
And No, we're not going through any life changing events. Atleast none that I'm aware of.

Shelley, when Olivia started peeing her pants after being potty trained for a while I told her she'd have to wear a diaper if she did it again. When she did I made her put on a diaper and she freaked! it stayed on like 3 seconds. That happened twice and it was solved...the only thing is, is if Aubree is ok with wearing a diaper...which I don't know but its worth a try...I felt so mean doing it though.
How frustrating is that? I'm sorry! I wish I had some great advice, but I can't think of anything that you probably haven't already tried! Good luck and I hope you can figure out a solution!
Shelley, this same thing happened to me with my lttle boy. He was potty trained before he was even two, and did great for th next year. Not one accident. Then all of sudden he statrted wetting the bed at night, and I couldn't figure out why. So now EVERY night BEFORE bed I make him go pee. And if during the middle of the night I can hear that he is restless I will go in and wake him up to go. Our problem was, is that he is a heavy sleeper and just wouldn't wake up! But this has seemed to help! GOOD LUCK!!
Hi Shelley! Very cute blog. Jd and I had fun reading through new and old entries. We are excited to keep in touch. Your girls are so beautiful! What a cute family. I am not really looking forward to that whole potty training thing. I certainly don't have any experience in that area, so hopefully in a couple years you can help me! :)
McKade has wet the bed until he was about 7 so we had to restrict his drinking after dinner. He got a small drink of water before bed but our getting ready for bed means brushing teeth and going potty. He was a deep sleeper too and wouldn't even realize he wet the bed until morning...good luck! I feel for you!
Okay, so I am the meanest Mom on here. :-(
I read that making them take a cold shower in their wet clothes makes them not want to do it again. I'm not sure if this is true or not. (I don't think you are mean Sara because we also made Aubrey wear a diaper and that ended the accidents for her too.) Sometimes it can be about attention too. This happens a lot when new babies are added to families or when one sibling feels that another is getting more attention. All I can say is hang in there. Isaac just barely became potty trained! :)
