I got this idea from my friend Elizabeth's blog....here are the instructions if you would like to play.
1. As a comment on my blog leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me well or not so well, anything you remember.
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and people will leave a memory about you. It's a fun way to get to know each other better.

There are so many I don't know where to start. Probably the oldest would be going country dancing together every Saturday night before we were married, and after. We had so much fun!!! I also loved when we use to hang out late into the night watching the bachelor, playing take two (we'd end up fighting with are husbands and laughing about silly stupid things--I think just because it was so late and we were super tired. I remember being so embarassed the next morning about some of the things I would say.) I love hanging out and watching are kids grow up---hopefully the memories will keep on going!! You're the best!!!!!
Oh Shelley....where do I even begin? I have so many fun and silly memories of you. Going to St. George in your motorhome, dance competitions, driving in your mom's suburban to Provo with all of our friends, making up names and weird stories...Aspadella? Night skiing in Park City and pretending we were "professional" skiers. Getting friends pictures at Sears in SLC, laying out at the lake and wanting teva tans, having dance competitions and photo shoots in your guest room with each of us being performers and judges. You, driving JDs old white car, and taking us to lunch.
WOW! I could go on and on! I always think of you when I think about middle and high school! We had some fun and crazy times! It has been fun to get back in touch after so many years!
This memory is from such a long time ago. We were in Mr. Rasband's 6th grade class together and we always got in trouble and he would put our names on the board. I remember sitting under the table and eating corn nuts with you when he would read stories to us.
I saw Mr. Rasband last year at a 24th of July celebration and he called me by my first name... I'm sure he remembers also how rebelious we were :)
Waxing my eyebrows! Ouch!
That, and going into the back of your old shop - scary.
We haven't had too many memories. Obviously we made some memories a couple weeks ago. I remember the first time I met you -- when you were expecting Maleah.
I couldn't pass this opportunity up. Do you remember....
-You giving me all of your old clothes, that I thought we so cool?
-Going to the cabin with our families and snowmobiling?
-Going to New York in the motor home with BOTH of our families crunched in there? (I woke up to Derek kissing me on this trip!)
-You and Greg having a little crush on each other
-Me having a crush on Brian AND Derek? (and kissing both of them! I was so bad!)
-Going to Disney World in Florida to dance, and us standing in line for the rides, and pretending like we were speaking Chinese. And getting dirty looks from everyone around us!
-Karoke at the cabin?
I could go on and on, you were so fun to be around, thanks for the memories!
All of Erin's memories are also my memories. I'll just add some other quick ones as to not bore anybody else, but hopefully you will remember...kindergarten--you bringing almost everything from your toyroom for one day of show-and-tell; you told me when we were in kindergarten that your mom let you do your own bangs and I loved them; children's chorus and how you always told me you had a beautiful voice--you did and I am still jealous; your mom's big blue suburban; Kim Webb and Brian's mace at your party (or was it pepper spray--can't remember but we had to evacuate); sleepovers at the tennis courts; sleepovers in general--seems like weekly; the canal and the rope swing; St. George in your motorhome; drill team . . .gosh, everything about growing up involves memories with you. It sure was fun. Thanks!
Wow! Let's see - a few worth mentioning: inviting stranger boys to our apartment and dressing up like crazy girls with too much make-up on, pranks on our Pinnacle neighbors, kissing contests at Disneyland...Disneyland in general for that matter! 50 cent movie night every Tuesday, going to Vegas and putting our hair in braids and getting laughed at, our weekly Kohl's shopping trips to see if we could get the employees to give us a deal, and eating a WHOLE mud pie! The list could go on, you are a great friend!
Shelly,
I have a lot of great memories with you when we were roommates. I remember you cut my hair, and I was nervous, but you did an excellent job at your work! (I would still have you cut my hair, but you live farther away!) I remember when I had a birthday parthy, I was really sick and in the process of getting better, and you all the roommates threw me my biggest party ever! It was fun!! I also remember you gave me a cool hat for Christmas! I still have that cook hat and still wear it! Your a great friend! I need to see you more often! Hopefully I will!
That's right - that was Paul Jacobsen in those photos. He's been my best friend ever since I can remember and we're still really close. That's so funny you had a crush on him - I had no idea! He's living in the Salt Lake area with his wife - no kids yet. He married a really cute girl who I've become really good friends with as well, so it's cool. I will tell him hi for you :)
I am sure you will be thrilled that this is the first memory I thought of...but i remember when we lived at Pinnacle and you got laughing so hard that you peed your pants (pajama pants I believe)....I also remember you trimming my eyebrows with your nose hair trimmer and leaving me with a big hairless space...good thing they grew back!
I remember a summer night at Pinnacle. You were out by the playground playing cards with some friends. I came out to distract you for awhile while the rest of my apartment prepared several water balloons to attack you with.
It turned into an all out water fight and all you could say was, "LauraLee how could you do this and you are my Relief Society President too."
okay everyone is starting their comments saying 'Oh shelley! how could I ever just choose one memory of you?!' which is how I would have started mine if everyone else hadn't. anyway.
my greatest memory is being with you at Grandpa McDonald's funeral. for some reason you are the only person I remember being there.
Another is being at the cemetery in Heber after you had just gotten married. you were telling Brandon not to worry about not being married because you and him were the same age, but your husband was several years older, and that's just how it worked.
I also remember the super awesome straw creation we made this past Christmas in my parents' kitchen. and when we kicked everyone else's butts.
