My Dad has got to be the youngest looking, most in shape and active 60 year old I know. I've always thought 60 years old was REALLY old, until my Dad turned 60. If you ask me he's at the prime of his life. He's fit and active and looks great. He snowmobiles like a pro, and can climb higher and go harder places on his snowmobile than pretty much anyone. My Dad is such a passionate person, whatever he does he does well and if he's passionate about it, he won't give up until he perfects it. He's a wonderful and very in-tune doctor, He's an amazing guitarist and musician, He's an incredible snowmobiler, He has such a love for the mountains and the outdoors. I've always admired how he goes to the mountains to prepare church lessons or talks, or just to receive inspiration. He truly loves and appreciates nature more than anyone I've ever met. We tell my Dad all the time that he must have 9 lives. The Day before Aubree was born, he was buried in an avalanche while snowmobiling. There were many tender mercies and answered prayers that day. It was an emotional experience for me, not only because I was 9 months pregnant and he's my Dad, but because the next day he delivered my sweet Aubree. I am so grateful that his life was protected so that he could be there for Me and Aubree. I felt very strongly that Aubree was looking down from Heaven cheering her Grandpa on. Another experience happened 10 days after Kendra was born. My Dad was working on one of his wave runners and the carburetor blew up in his face. His hair caught on fire and his face, neck, arms, and hands were burned. He was all alone at the time and it took him about 45 minutes to finally be able to take the hose off of his face for long enough to make a phone call to my Mom. There's no doubt in my mind that Heavenly Father preserved his life that day. Not only did he preserve his life but my Dad was blessed enough to fully recover with no scarring. The glass on his eyeglasses (that he hardly ever wears) was melted (kind of shattered looking) but no permanent damage was done to his eyes. We joke with him now that he just got a free and very painful face lift, because he basically got all new skin on his face. My Dad has always told me that if I spend 20 minutes a day with my Heavenly Father, I will spend the rest of Eternity with him. That advice has always stuck with me, and I'm so thankful for his example. Last but not least, I just have to add that my Dad is the best stitcher upper ever!! He's done 3 c-sections on me and my scar looks incredible. It's small and hardly noticeable. I'm the luckiest girl alive to have him for my Dad.
I love you Dad!! Happy Birthday!!
Sorry for the rambling, I really didn't intend for this to be long at all,
I just couldn't stop.

I will never forget my parents going to numerous Dr.'s to find out what was wrong with Greg when he was sick. My parents saw your dad ONE TIME, and looked at them and said, "he has chrones disease" He just knew that's what it was.
