January 2009

January is my LEAST favorite month. It's cold, the snow is dirty, the air is unhealthy, the kids are cooped up, people are sick, Christmas is over, and there's no exciting holidays to look forward to. So now that I sound like a complete pessimist I will post some things that do make me happy and keep me going in January

*De junking
*Dates with Kent
*Good T.V. shows
*Clearance Shopping :)
*No Yard Work
*A renewed desire for exercise and healthy habits

My kids make me happy and keep me going too, this month we've done some...

New Years Celebrating

Boot Wearing

Gymnastics Starting

Bed Jumping

Movie Watching

Beater Licking

Curl Discovering

and some new Hair Fixing

Maleah's hair is finally long enough to do fun pigtails and things, Aubree wore her 1st pigtails in her life for her 1st day of gymnastics, and we've discovered Kendra has curls. I do find joy in fixing my kids hair cute - just not everyday!!!

I'm a Winter Lover through and through, I never thought I'd say this but I'M SO READY FOR SPRING!!

I'm ready for:

*Park Playing
*Evening Walks
*Bikerides
*Planting Flowers
*Chalk Drawing
*Bubble Blowing
*Swingsets
*Picnics
*Flip Flops

I might jinx myself for posting this, but the best part about this month for me personally, has been my CLEAR face. I just took this self portrait. I am currently zit free and pain free. This is a small miracle I must say....I really have been praying for this. Scars? Yes.... Blotchy? Yes.... Zits? NADA!!!

Way cute post Shell....you look beautiful!!!! And I love all the fun things your doing with your girls to stay busy. Kendra's curls are adorable! Hang in there girlfriend, just a few more months of winter- and spring is on it's way. It has been in the 60s here in Colorado this week. It is amazingly beautiful and warm. We have spent hours at the park....but its just a teaser because its suppose to snow on Friday. I can't wait for spring either, winter is my least favorite season. Loved this post!

Cute post. Impressed with how cute you do your girl's hair. I am so bad at that!
Relieved to hear that I am not alone in my OCDness.
Also, every time I notice I don't have a zit, I wake up the next morning with one.
Hope you have better luck.

Love the post... cute idea for making a post in the BLAH month of January. How did you do Kendra's hair curly? Teach me so I can do Halle's!!! Also, I am saying this in the most lovingly way possible, but maybe you have zits now in life because back in middle school and high school while some of us (Me) were nothing but awkwardly geeky and zitty, you were already drop dead gorgeous! I got zits too after having Halle, and am on Clindamycin Phosphate pads (prescription). I don't know what you are using, but those things are great and keep my painful zits to nothing more than a rare, random zit. Just thought I would share that info with you. Take care, you are beautiful, and your girls are adorable. Sorry this comment was so long!

Very cute post! You look great. I'm sorry about the skin problems. I'm always scared for what pregnancy will bring on....you never know. Your girls' hair is so cute. I agree with doing their hair cute - I like to do it but not everyday.
Sorry to make you jealous but the weather here is great. Come visit we'd love it! We've had 80 degree weather everyday. In some ways I miss real seasons but then I go home for three weeks and get just enough of winter. :)

Oh yeah. My kids are almost exactly two years apart. L's b-day is Jan. 29 and M's b-day is Feb. 18.

I love winter too, but this gray mess is driving me into the 'depths of despair'.

Love the cute pics and happy for you about your skin...

Zack and I were laughing the other day about a particular sets of words Kent uses periodically. So, so funny - yet quite dangerous.

Your girls are so cute! And I totally agree about winter needing to be over. I love having seasons and snow during December, but I want to go running outside again!

You really can't beat those eyes you have! Gorgeous. ANd your skin looks great! But if you need a good dermatologist in the future I know a great one... my dad! :) Let me know if you need a hook up. He also knows your dad because he was an intern for him. Anyways, I have January too. February is awesome, but January just sucks. Dry, cold, miserable. It's almost over! Oh, and your new blog is so cute. How the heck do you do that with the title and the cute pics?
