My first race
I ran my first race a couple weeks ago. It was only a 5K, but I had to start somewhere. I'm pretty sure it will be my last 5K. I was wondering the whole time why I would pay $25 to run 3.2 miles, when I can do it every morning for free :) (That's the cheapo in me) It was a good experience and It was for a good cause. I won a free carwash, got a free 10 minute massage afterwards, and I have a T-shirt to wear proudly!! I ran 11 minute miles, came in 17th for my age and gender bracket, and took 56th place overall.

AWESOME!! Now, can you imagine swimming 400 meters and riding 9 miles first? Hope so, because that will be us in a matter of months! I am sooo excited!!!

Only a 5k!? Are you kidding. I think running 3.2 miles is awesome. I feel so proud of myself for being able to run it when 6 months ago I could only run for thirty seconds. I know what you mean about paying to run but if it's for charity I don't really mind. I try to find the cheapest one for the season though! :) 11 min. mile is great! You're awesome!
Good thing she's only two and won't remember which day her birthday was celebrated! I think we're much harder on ourselves than our kids would ever want us to be. It's great to see new pics of you guys--hope all is well with you guys!!!!
