Anyways, it has been fun and we are super close to hydro-seeding. (hopefully this week) The weather has not been cooperating either which has delayed the process.
A couple weeks ago we ordered 2 more loads of topsoil to fill in some low spots in our yard. These pictures don't do 2 things justice. #1 - The amount of dirt, time and shoveling it took to get these piles spread. #2 - How dirty my kids got for 3 days straight playing in the dirt. They had so much fun!!
Kent and I often wonder what we got ourselves into with this big yard. We never planned on buying a house with this big of a yard, the yard just ended up being a bonus with the house. Bonus or not, it's ours now, there's no turning back. The picture below shows one side of our house (about 1/3 of our yard.) It's humungo.
I'm envisioning alot of night games, soccer playing, football, volleyball, frisbee etc... being played on this field.
Here's our house! (above) I don't think I ever posted pictures of it on here.
I can't wait to post pictures from start to finish of our yard. I've been taking good record throughout the whole process.
In the mean time Kendra learned how to ride a 2-wheeler with training wheels. She thinks she is SO big.

Oh Shelley I can feel your pain. But only about 1/10th of it. We have been trying to finish our backyard for a year now. We finally got a jump start on it early this spring only to have the rain ruin our plans every time we made arrangements to have things done.
Cannot wait to see the finished product!
You'll be so glad to finally have grass! Putting in a yard is SO much work. I always say, I wouldn't mind building again, but I don't ever want to landscape again. But the finished product is worth it.
Huge amazing yard! And she is a big girl. My four year old has issues with peddling still!
