Our January

Our January has been sort of eventful.  We started finishing our basement and it should be done by the end of February.  I can't believe how many decisions there are to make when finishing a basement.  Kent and I could never build a house together...we differ too much on opinions and how things should be done.  Carson graduated from wearing a helmet (post to come on that).  I joined the gym and have been going every morning 6 days a week.  I have taken control of my eating and have lost 8 pounds in the last two weeks (only 26 more to go).   Kendra graduated from diapers at night and no longer pees the bed.  Kendra has a new obsession with boxes and Carson spends a good part of his waking hours in a box.  Kendra often sleeps in boxes or tents or forts at night, she's a wierdo!  We had our first big snowstorm and built our first 2 snowmen.  We enjoyed 2 trips to the park and lots of playing outside despite the fact that it's January (I have loved the warm weather).

Kendra and Carson playing with a box

This was Carson's 4th and final decoration for his hat.  He was "Toad"ally cute in it, but I do not miss it one bit.

Kendra is part of a playgroup 3 times a week.  Here are all the girls (minus 1) watching a cartoon together.

Kendra bought Daddy tools with her Walmart gift card from Grandpa and Katie.  She's been helping Dad in the basement.  She sees different people come and work on our basement and she wants to be a worker so bad,  On top of a horse rider a magician and a dentist.

Kendra and I went out and built 2 snowmen together while the other girls were at school.  I've never been much of a snowman maker, I'm just no good at it.  This just happened to be awesome packing snow so it was fairly easy.

What a fun January. I'm excited to see your basement. Stories about Kendra are hilarious. She has such unique interests. It will be interesting to see what she's like when she's older.

Oh and good job on the weight loss! I am doing better as well although not as good as you. I am running three days a week 2.5 miles (I'm upping that every week) and lifting weights for 1/2 hour two days a week. I am getting better at eating but still could use a little more self-control. But I'm oodles ahead of where I was and the weight if finally coming off again too. Sheesh. Why did I let myself gain it back? Well I didn't gain all of it back, just so you know. I kept of 30 lbs of it. :)
