Alpine Slide accident

Aubree crashed on the alpine slide while we were at Snowbird.  It was the saddest thing.  Maleah and her were supposed to stick together and they split up.  Aubree went down the Alpine Slide, crashed in the middle of it, got back on her sled and finished the ride.  She took her sled to the attendant and didn't say a word to him.  We saw her from above because we were getting ready to ride the mountain flyer.  She pointed at her ear and then covered her eyes.  We got off the ride and ran to meet her.  Her ear was bleeding pretty bad.  I felt so awful that she had no one with her and didn't say anything to anybody.  She was so brave.  They called the EMT's to come look at her ear and they said that it probably wouldn't need stitches but maybe glue.  They said we were probably ok to wait til the next day to go to the Dr.  This happened at 6 p.m. and Snowbird closes at 8:00.  We gave Aubree the choice of leaving or staying.  She wanted to stay.  At first the girls didn't want to ride the Alpine Slide again because they were too scared.  We all decided to conquer our fears.  Aubree was going to ride with me, but when we got to the top she said "Actually I want to go by myself".  We all rode it about 5 or 6 more times after her accident.  Then we finished off the night with a yummy Mexican dinner and frozen yogurt.  The next morning I took her to the Dr. and they cleaned it up really good and put some Derma Bond on it to help it heal and stay in place (basically super glued it shut).  It was torn pretty bad.  This picture was taken at the Dr's. and actually looks pretty good compared to how it looked when it happened.  It's healing up nicely now and looks better each day.

Her Elbow got burned from the slide.  Kindof like a rug burn, except this was a slide burn :)
