Our family participated in the "Utah Valley Family Adventure Race" on June 1st, 2013. There were 31 teams. It consisted of 3 legs. Bikes, Canoes, Running. Each leg had different challenges you had to complete before moving on. It took about 2 1/2 hours from start to finish. We took 4th place out of 31 teams. I was pretty proud. We also had one of the youngest contestants which makes 4th place even more impressive. The teams that took 1st and 2nd place were made up of teenagers and parents. 3rd place was the Sparks (our good friends) and they had 1 parent, and then an 11 and 8 year old. I felt like we kicked butt considering we had a 5 year old on our team. It was a lot of fun and we can't wait for next year.
