Aubree's 5

Bobsy Boo is 5! She had a friend party on her actual Birthday this year. This age is so cute.
L to R: Mariah, Anna, Brooklyn, Jordan, Aubree, Taryn, Kendra, Jenna, Maleah, Millie

Jordan was the only boy at her party. Him and Aubree are long time friends (aka: boyfriend, girlfriend) They love each other.

Rainbow Cupcakes

Bingo (Shayla came to help cuz Kent was at a trade show in Salt Lake)

Messy Messy Cupcakes

Opening Presents

We gave Aubree tools for her Birthday. She got some for Christmas and loves them so we decided to add to her collection. She wants to be like her Daddy.
We also gave her a cash register

Grandma K gave her this cute tinkerbell outfit. It's adorable.

We had a party for Aubree on Valentines day up at my Mom's house.
Heres the cake I made for her, (way too much work) but makes for such a cute picture
She was SOOOOOO excited about this cake. She wanted everyone to see it.

Aubree is such a little character. One battle I've chosen not to fight anymore (atleast most days) is her wardrobe. She has such a funny style. Last summer she refused to wear summer clothes and dressed in winter clothes all summer long. Now that it's winter she refuses to wear long sleeve shirts. She's also become very attached to a pair of Maleah's shoes (size 2). Aubree wears a size 9 or 10, so they are about 5 or 6 sizes too big for her. We call them her big foot shoes. So she comes down in the morning with a short sleeve shirt on, jeans, and her big foot shoes. Her newest thing is to tuck her shirt in and hike her pants up. I think she's trying to look like her Daddy. (not that he hikes his pants) but the tuck the shirt in thing. Anyways, this picture doesn't do her justice of just how funny she looks most days. I can't fight this battle anymore. I've tried, it's not worth it. The girl has a right to choose what she's comfortable in. Define her own style right?? One of the many things I never thought I'd do as a Mom, but have officially done.

I love this girl.
Some things I want to remember about her at this age.....
Aubree:
She's Quirky
Independent
A tom boy
Loves tools and workin with her Dad
Building things
Loves babies, playing house
Computer Games (PBS, Nick Jr. etc...)
Riding her 2 wheeler
Changes her clothes several times a day
Quiet, Observant
Thrashes out and throws a mean tantrum
Wants to please her parents, and be a good girl
Good Sleeper, Needs a lot of sleep (12+hours)
Wants a friend all the time
Wears summer clothes in winter, and winter clothes in summer
Always wants to play at someone else's house, instead of her own
Loves Jordan
Funny Dancer
Doesn't eat much, gets full easy
Plays really well with Kendra
Funny sense of style
Before I forget:
Kent was watching the end of the Bachelor with Aubree the other day. (What's worse the fact that my husband was watching it, or my 5 year old?) I'm guilty though, I'm the one that got him into it. Anyways, The Bachelor was saying how he was falling in love with all 3 women, and Aubree was really confused. She said "Dad, who does he love?" then she said in a fond little voice "Dad, I'm falling in love with you......No I'm falling in love with Jordan" I have to admit, her and Jordan do have a cute little friendship. They have so much fun together and treat each other so nicely. It will be interesting to see what happens with the two of them as they get older.

Happy b-day cute girl! I had no idea she was a tom-boy. If fact, after reading this, I realized I knew very little about her. She's a cutie. I love that she wants to be like daddy. So sweet.
