Yellowstone - Day 2

Our first day in the park we went straight to Old Faithful.  The kids got their Junior Ranger pamphlets so they could work on them over the next few days.

We got ice cream at a little shop at old faithful and they had these rocking chairs on the porch.  I loved just sitting their and enjoying the beauty all around me and the nice cool air.

We went to some hot springs.  The colors were amazing.  The water was the brightest turquoise I've ever seen.

At the end of the day we went Horse Back riding and then to the rodeo.

Carson and Molly - cutest Cowboy and Cowgirl EVER!

We had a group of 18 people so we got our own ride with just our friends.  Carson and Molly rode with their Dad's but everyone else rode alone.  It was SO MUCH FUN!  If you ask my kids what their favorite part of our Yellowstone trip was, they would probably say horseback riding.

I was 3rd to the last on my horse, so I was able to take this cool picture.

Aubree rode behind me the whole time.  She was terrified to get on her horse, but within 2 minutes she was trotting around, and she pretty much trotted the whole way.

Carson got a little antsy about half way through the ride.  It was about a 2 hour ride from start to finish.  I was worried about him sitting still for that long but he did remarkably well.  He actually rode with Kent the whole time but he wanted to sit with Mom at the end.

Getting ready to go.  Kendra was beyond excited.  She is a horse lover, through and through.

I was surprised at the rugged terrain they took us on.  I thought it would just be a nice flat trail but they took us way up in the mountains through trees and steep hills.  It made it more fun for sure.

Aubree And Kaitlyn Sparks

We went to the rodeo after.  They let all the kids chase a calf and try to get the ribbon off his tail.  Each kid got a gold dollar for participating.  The rodeo clowns were hilarious and making our kids do the funniest things.

Aubree wanted a picture with a real live cowboy.   This was one of the bull riders.  She told me afterwards that his breath smelled really weird :)
