Fish Lake - August 2015

This was our 5th getaway for summer 2015.  I was huge and pregnant and SO tired, but Kendra was so looking forward to going fishing with Uncle Derek.  He is a die hard fisherman and Kendra is about as die hard as it gets for an 8 year old so she wanted to learn from the best.  Derek brought his camping trailer and boat, but I couldn't bear the thought of camping again and wanted to keep things really simple so we rented a little camping cabin that was right on the lake.  It was more like a shed.  It was $50 a night and I hardly slept, but at least there was a toilet.

The kids were bouncing off the walls excited.

Our little Shabin

We only stayed one night and basically fished the whole time.  Friday night we got right on the lake.

We were catching these little blue gills left and right.  My kids were happy as can be with that, but Derek wanted real fish.

We didn't have a whole lot of luck with big ones that night.  Kent caught the biggest one and it was a trout.  My Mom cooked it up and we all had a bite or two.

The next morning they got up at 5:30 a.m. to get the best fishing.
I stayed back with Carson and we slept in.

Aubree took a nap on the boat

They got some good catches this time.

The biggest one they caught

After they got back from fishing (around noon) we cooked up some fish, had lunch and then went four wheeling.

There are tons of trails around and we found our way up onto a ridge that overlooked fish lake.  It was a lot of fun and really pretty.

Me and my big ol' belly.  I think I was 33 weeks here.
