Eggett Happenings: Island Park

We decided to start a yearly tradition and do a family trip together with friends. The families would include Dalton's, Gillespies, Cheneys and Eggetts. Our kids really didn't know each other and we haven't hung out for years, but we were either roommates, college friends, or just long time friends....we all kind of met in weird ways. I think we were all a little bit worried that it might be awkward as we hadn't hung out as families in 5+ years, but it was anything but awkward. It ended up being the best vacation ever. The kids hit it off and got along so great, and all 8 adults meshed so well. We stayed up super late every single night just talking and playing games. We had awesome conversations and it was just so much fun. I will always hold this trip close to my heart because it was just absolutely perfect and refreshing.

We went to Yellowstone National Park one day. We woke up super early at 5 a.m. and went bear hunting. Didn't see any bears but we had a blast anyways.

You can barely see the 3 boys in the field but they had so much fun running around together.

I was worried about being so pregnant on this trip but it honestly was super relaxing and enjoyable for me.

After 12 hours in Yellowstone park, we went and had pizza in West Yellowstone.

We did some shopping around and got icecream too.

One day was super rainy, which ended up being so fun because we played games in the cabin all day. The adults went out to lunch together and then we went into West Yellowstone again for more shopping and icecream.
