Bridger's Blessing Day

Bridger was blessed on January 3, 2016 at 3 months old.  

He was blessed by his Daddy.  

Dylan Dayley was blessed the same day.  They are 2 weeks apart.

Bridger is such a blessing to our family.  I can't imagine life without him and feel so blessed that he came to our family. My heart could burst with love for this little guy.

We chose this day because Shay and Sam were here from Maryland, Jamilyn was here with all of her kids from Colorado and Sarah and Cameron were here from Cedar.  My parents had all of their grandchildren there and both Grandpa Stanton and Grandma K bore their testimonies.  It was a beautiful day for our family.  

Bridger's Blessing

Our Dear Kind Heavenly Father,  by the power of the Melchizedek  priesthood, we come before Thee to give this infant a name and blessing. The name is Bridger Kent Eggett.  Bridger this will be the name you will be known as upon this earth. I bless you with a priesthood blessing at this time to understand that you were sent from heaven.  That you existed in heaven before you came to this earth.  I bless you with a desire to want to return to our Heavenly Father.  To learn the things that will ultimately help you gain that desire.  To Study the scriptures and seek out the answers that will help you to know what you should do in your daily life. To draw close to our Heavenly Father and to his son, our Savior Jesus Christ.  I bless you with a desire also to gain a testimony of your own, that you will be able to stand upon the strength of that testimony as the evils that are all throughout this earth are thrown about, that you will be able to stand upon that testimony on solid ground and stay close to the iron rod and return to our Heavenly Father.  I bless you with a healthy body and mind that you will be able to use those to take you through this life and to benefit others.  I bless you when the time is right that you will be worthy to receive the Aaronic priesthood and then on to the Melchizedek Priesthood and to be able to use that priesthood to bless those who you will be in contact with.  I bless you to choose your friends wisely, that they will help you to make wise and good decisions that will help you return to our Heavenly Father. And when the time is right that you will be able to choose a mate worthy to take to the temple, there to marry for time and all eternity. Again one more step in returning to our Heavenly Father.  Bridger I bless you with all of these blessings and any other blessing that our Heavenly Father sees you might need and we do these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
